Presentation of study on the economic impact of the DCFTA on Georgia, Moldova and the Ukraine as well as study on export potential of Georgian animal products
On June 27, 2019, Ricardo Giucci, Team Leader of the German Economic Team (GET) Georgia, at a joint event with the German Economic Association (DWV), presented a study by Berlin Economics on the economic impact of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas (DCFTA) on Georgia, Moldova and the Ukraine. He was accompanied by Niklas Dornbusch, project coordinator and Veronika Movchan, expert for trade policy.
In his presentation, Dr. Ricardo Giucci outlined the economic impact of the DCFTA on the countries of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Furthermore he explained which effects the DCFTA with the EU has on Georgian exports and mentioned comparative experience from Moldova and Ukraine, which are also DCFTA countries.
Niklas Dornbusch, Ricardo Giucci and Veronika Movchan also presented a study on the export potential of Georgian animal products. Many questions asked by the participants after the presentation showed the relevance of these issues to the audience.
